An improvising collective
Anthrophonic is a group of improvisers. We make records together, play together, and share the work it takes to do both.
The best music happens between people. Improvising is finding out, in public, with someone you might have met an hour ago. When one of us does well, a record, a tour, a good night, the rest of us should feel it too.
We'd rather build something together than compete for the same small stage. Costs get paid back first, then what's left is shared, and what's left after that goes into more music: more nights, more records, here and wherever improvisers are.
What we do
Records. We put out the music we make together.
A night. A regular night of improvised music, where we play and where new players find us. Coming soon.
Tools. Booking, sending, selling and promoting eat the time that should go to playing. We build tools that do that work, and we share them.
