Roland Heidrich

Roland Heidrich is a Budapest guitarist who moves between jazz, free improvisation and experimental music. He picked up the guitar at 14, found jazz through rock, and spent ten years on acoustic guitars, including 8-string, 16-string and fretless, before going back to the electric guitar.

He leads the trio The Abstract and the duo Coincidence, collects his more experimental guitar work as rh+, and plays in Melting ICE with Christopher Robin Cox and Casey O'Brien. He has also worked as a sound mixer and sound designer for film for more than ten years.
